Well, the months are flying by and the work is too. My first book of 2012, The Littlest Elf, has all been wrapped up and will be hitting the shelves later this year, ready for Christmas. For the moment it’s all hands on deck with an Easter title, filled with a very bouncy Easter bunny and a whole bunch of other cheeky Easter critters. I am also in the midst of sketching a world made of baked delights for the next title in the Tina Cocolina series. So for now, while I sit here munching on Easter chocolate, I’ll just leave you with this little sketch of a character from a very different sort of bunny book and a great, big Happy Easter!

Introducing Pehi – the new man in my life

Having found a bit of inspiration in the shape of some lovely Kiwi travellers, I have embarked on a new project. Meet Pehi, the Kiwi (of course) who has just arrived at his new home in the zoo. It’s all been a bit hectic for the little fella, so he’s taking some time out and getting some well deserved R&R, where things are a bit quieter… Let’s hope it’s not TOO quiet!

…at long last, I feel just about able to make the potentially inadvisable statement that the site finally seems stable. Phew!

If things were all a bit wonky before, have a peek – I’ve added new content on the portfolio and books pages and it’s all a little bit wooshier.

Website fun and games

As with any good website launch I have been having a few technical issues. As there is the small matter of migrating hosts there may be some extra fun to come (lost pictures, flakey pages and perhaps even a lovely holding page from my new favourite people to hate at 123-reg).

Rest assured I’m having a whale of a time changing links and getting it all (eventually) ship-shape.

And so the last of my Christmas cards have finally spread their wings and flown off into the sunset.

The new website is born…

…though as you can probably tell it is still thoroughly a work in progress and a little rough and delicate around the edges.

I will be smoothing out the weirdy bits and adding more content in the coming days and weeks, so check back again if it’s all looking a little barren.

Oh, and please go gently with her. She’s a fragile beast.
